19 week OB visit

Some stats on the pregnancy...

~ Down another lb, for a total of 12 over the last 14 weeks.
~ Blood Pressure 110/72, sounds about average for me.
~ Newbie's heart rate, was between 154 and 161 during the appointment.
~ Ultrasound scheduled for Friday, at 3 p.m. Yahoo!!!
~ We refused the screening test that was scheduled for this appointment.

Dr. Cool Guy was in a much better mood during this visit, and we had a chance to visit about my expectations for this delivery. It was important for me to hear that he really intends to let me have as little interventions as possible.

I had a little issue with the ladies that run the front of the office yesterday. Mr. Thinkin' was a little late and the Grouch that was at the reception desk said he couldn't go back and he would just have to wait for a nurse to come up. What? Finally, after waiting for about 5 minutes, he called me on my cell and ask me to send a nurse to get him. He was annoyed and I was disappointed. I had asked that we wait to start the appointment until he got there. As it turns out, he was probably only about 45 seconds behind me. The nurses said, not to worry, he will be shown back when he gets there. It would have been just a simple miscommunication if the reception lady wasn't such a crab about EVERYTHING! For the love of Pete, she has a job because of people like us!

So, that about warps it up, I will post again when we know the sex of the baby. I have spent equal time in the recent past thinking it was both a boy and a girl, so who knows!
